Tim Lives in Brighton, with his wife Rachel and daughters Bella and Eliza.


He grew up near Dartford in Kent. Then he went on to study photography at Art College in Rochester. Here he taught  himself bass guitar and formed his first band with fellow students, playing local gigs around North Kent.


After Completion of his studies he moved to London and embraced the life of a struggling musician, firstly playing bass, then teaching himself trumpet at the rather late age of 27. Tim joined his first band as a trumpeter just months after taking up the instrument.


Playing trumpet develop his interest in jazz, and he studied jazz musicianship for four years, part time, at the adult education institute The City Litt. Tim carried on working part time as a musician and full time as a dad after the birth of his two daughters only seventeen months apart in 2000 and 2001.


Moving to Brighton in 2007 due to his wife's career change, Tim started playing with Brighton bands and busking around local sussex towns.


The life of a jobbing musician has meant much hard work, but even more pleasure and satisfaction. Today Tim has a busy schedule of solo and band gigs, sessions and teaching jobs.   Back
